Meet Maggie Salomon

Candidate for Fort Bend County Commissioner, Precinct 4
Rooted in Fort Bend. Built on Service. Focused on Results.
Maggie Salomon is a local accountant, small business owner, mother, and longtime Fort Bend County resident who believes leadership should be about solving problems, not playing politics. She is running for County Commissioner Pct 4 with one commitment, to get the job done quickly, efficiently, and with integrity.
A Trusted Financial Professional and Business Leader
For years, Maggie has worked daily with the IRS and the Texas State Comptroller, helping families and small business owners stay compliant, resolve tax matters, and protect what they have worked so hard to build. Her career is grounded in transparency, accountability, and responsible financial management.
Her background also includes hotel and tourism development work in partnership with the City of Houston, where she supported economic growth, business development, and regional investment. This experience gives her a real world understanding of how policy decisions affect jobs, neighborhoods, and long term growth.
A Community Mentor and Small Business Owner
Beyond her professional work, Maggie is known throughout Fort Bend County as a youth mentor and dance studio owner. She has worked hands on with hundreds of local families, helping young people build confidence, discipline, and leadership through the arts.
As a mother of two daughters, Maggie understands firsthand the importance of safe neighborhoods, strong schools, and a high quality of life. Everything she does, both professionally and personally, is centered on protecting the future of the next generation.
A Survivor of Hurricane Harvey
In 2017, Maggie and her family experienced the devastation of Hurricane Harvey firsthand. After being told their home was located outside of a flood zone, their home flooded and they were displaced for nearly five months.
That experience gave Maggie a deep, personal understanding of the failures in drainage, emergency response, and infrastructure planning. Today, in 2025, she continues to ask the same questions many residents are still asking. Why has growth outpaced our roads? Why is drainage still a problem? Why are families still at risk? These questions are why she chose to step forward and run.
Representation That Reflects the Community
Precinct 4 is one of the fastest growing areas in Fort Bend County. The Latino population continues to rise, and women now represent more than 51 percent of the community. Maggie believes leadership should reflect the people it serves.
She is proud to be working to make history as the first Latina woman to ever serve as Fort Bend County Commissioner for Precinct 4, and she is building a campaign that welcomes every resident who wants real solutions and real accountability.
